We are looking for a High School Science and Biology Teacher for an international school in Beijing, starting in August 2027 for the 2027/28 academic year

Located in Beijing’s Haidian District, this international school combines the Chinese national curriculum with US Common Core standards in elementary and middle school, while its high school offers US Common Core, AP, IGCSE and A-Level programmes

Job responsibilities

• Teach science and biology to high school students, ensuring an engaging and enriching learning experience
• Develop students’ scientific knowledge, analytical thinking and practical laboratory skills through investigations and experiments
• Lead or assist with extracurricular clubs, enrichment programmes, teams, academic classes and study halls, with up to three hours of extracurricular involvement
• Prepare lessons and teaching materials, provide tutoring, design and mark assessments, and write report comments
• Work collaboratively with fellow educators to develop and enhance the school’s curriculum
• Assess and monitor students’ progress, setting clear learning targets to help all learners succeed and improve
• Provide clear and constructive feedback to students, parents and caregivers
• Create a supportive and safe learning environment, ensuring appropriate laboratory procedures are followed

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Biology, Science or a related subject
• Recognised teaching qualification
• At least three years of relevant teaching experience
• Strong communication and classroom management skills

Salary and benefits

• Annual salary of RMB 380,000 to 480,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications
