Psychology Teacher

We are looking for an AP Psychology Teacher for the international division of a public high school located in Beijing. This position is available for an immediate start in the 2026/27 academic year.

About the school

This is the international division of one of Beijing's most respected public high schools, with around 300 students and a team of 53 Chinese and international teachers. It offers students aged 15 to 18 an AP-based pathway to leading universities in the US and beyond, with most teaching delivered in English and classes of 16 to 25 students. The school takes a long-term view of its faculty, with a compensation structure designed to support both stability and career development.

Job details

• Teach AP Psychology to students aged 15 to 18 and prepare them for the AP exam
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for classes of 16 to 25 students
• Monitor student progress and give clear, constructive feedback to students and parents
• Contribute 4 hours per week to extra-curricular activities
• Work with fellow teachers to develop and enhance the curriculum
• Create a supportive, safe and engaging learning environment
• Teaching load of under 20 class hours per week, plus 16 preparation hours

• Excellent spoken and written English
• Bachelor's degree or above with a major or minor in Psychology; master's degree in Education or the subject preferred
• Teaching licence required
• At least 3 years of teaching experience, including AP Psychology
• Teaching experience in American high schools preferred
• Enthusiastic, responsible, and a strong team player in a multicultural setting

• Monthly salary of 26,000 to 36,000 RMB commensurate with experience and background
• Salary paid over 12 months, including social insurance
