Psychology Teacher

We are looking for an AP Psychology Teacher for the international division of a public high school located in Hangzhou. This position is available with an immediate start for the 2026/27 academic year.

This is the international division of a well-established and highly regarded public high school in Hangzhou. It offers Grade 10 to 12 students a three-year AP pathway leading to universities in the US, UK, Canada and Australia. Most students speak good English, and faculty and student policies are well established, giving teachers a structured and supportive environment.

Job details

• Teach AP Psychology to Grade 10 to 12 students and prepare them for the AP exam
• Plan and deliver lessons using the school's prescribed textbooks
• Set and mark at least one student assessment per week
• Monitor student progress and give clear, constructive feedback to students and parents
• Work with fellow teachers to develop and enhance the curriculum
• Create a supportive, safe and engaging learning environment
• Maximum of 20 teaching periods per week, with 40 hours per week on campus

• Excellent spoken and written English
• Bachelor's degree or above in Psychology or a related subject
• At least 2 years of previous teaching experience
• Familiarity with the AP curriculum preferred
• Enthusiastic, responsible, and a strong team player in a multicultural setting

Salary and benefits

• Monthly salary of 26,000 to 28,000 RMB commensurate with experience and background
• Monthly housing allowance of 4,000 RMB
• Food allowance of 200 RMB per month, with a good cafeteria on campus
• Annual flight allowance of 10,000 RMB in the first year, rising to 20,000 RMB from the second contract year (paid at the end of the year)
• Visa reimbursement of 4,000 RMB (paid at the end of the year)
