Computer Science / AI Faculty – China Programs (HUEL)

Westcliff University was established to provide quality education for students wishing to enter the expanding fields of Business and Education. Westcliff received its initial approval with the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education in 1993 and is accredited under both the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) and the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). Westcliff is comprised of a College of Business, College of Education, College of Technology & Engineering, Western State College of Law, College of Nursing, and Westcliff University Canada.

This full-time faculty role is employed through INS Global as Employer of Record (EOR) on behalf of Westcliff University, teaching at Westcliff's partner campus HUEL (Henan University of Economics and Law) in Henan, China. INS sponsors the work permit/visa and runs payroll; Westcliff manages the academic side.

Computer Science / AI Faculty — sole site HUEL, Henan.

• Teach approximately 36 class sections per academic year, distributed across Fall and Spring terms, across online and on-campus modalities.

• Course preparation, instruction, facilitation, assessment, and student support; regular office hours.

• Contribute to service and academic leadership (program/curriculum leadership, accreditation and assessment support, mentoring, institutional initiatives) and to innovation in teaching and learning.

• Master's degree minimum with relevant teaching or applied experience in CS/AI; a PhD is not mandatory for this seat.

• Candidates with strong guest-lecturer or industry-instructor backgrounds (not only traditional academic faculty) are welcome — this seat has more flexibility than the Business Faculty seat.

• At least 5 years of relevant professional or industry experience.

• English fluency required; Mandarin is not required for the classroom or day-to-day.

• No nationality restriction; candidates already based in mainland China (ideally in or near Henan) are strongly preferred to minimize relocation friction. Industry practitioners with teaching/training experience are also encouraged to apply.

• Gross salary approx. RMB 16,800–27,000/month; net approx. RMB 14,000–21,000/month after standard deductions.

• 2-year contract, auto-renews on satisfactory performance — no reapplication needed at renewal.

• One reimbursed round-trip flight per year (faculty member only). Visa/work-permit costs sponsored and covered by the client via INS. Health insurance available.

• HUEL provides a furnished foreign-teacher apartment for hires relocating from another city; no standard housing allowance. No dependent-visa or schooling support currently available.
